my first tench

Post by St.John »

Not being much of a still water angler (redmire was the first pond I fished-always been a river man till about 3 years ago) I had never caught a tench-until last night! What fantastic fish! Image

Although I must admit- it was caught at about 130 yards on a cell pop-up bolt rig!!

I've never seen a 'bolt rig,' but did see a spotty herbert using nuts as ledgers once.

Excellent fish, Sir. Well done.

Very pleased for you Sin.

It's so nice to see members post their first fish of a species. No matter the size. We all have to start somewhere.... I've never had a Wells or a Zander.....mind you I'm not in any rush to catch either.
