Something to dream about in the close season

Post by Snape »

Here is a lovely short film by Christian Barker to help the close season pass.....

“Fishing is much more than fish. It is the great occasion when we may return to the fine simplicity of our forefathers,” Herbert Hoover.

Mesmerising, thanks Nigel.

I watched this in the same way that our cat watches garden birds through the lounge window.

I personally don't like to see what goes on under the water, the not knowing is all part of the mystery for me. :Hat:

Ah I see this is just a clear water film and not them being hooked on camera.

I caught this chub yesterday on a Black Nymph while trout fishing, it was in magnificent condition, quickly returned :-)

Ian,

It's probably never been caught before, no coarse fishing on this river since 1970 except for 'guesting' by CY. It will probably never be caught again :-)

Wild thing...
I agree with Mark in I really don't like watching fish being played underwater but, I love subsurface nature photography.I have just bought an "action camera" with lots of mounts, one im going to glue to a rock and place into the crystal river water where I have my van for the summer.
Underwater Ireland on YT have some interesting films of Pike taking lures, without any hooks mounted, to study the way they hit them.
