I know! I just never get along with it! Trust me, I've caught on it, just not well.

Re: Luncheon Meat
One my favourite baits of all time, along with Sweetcorn.
The gently frying technique has served me well, lots of chub and carp. As for size of bait used this varies, if I can see and spot the fish Ill use a smaller bit with a marker on the line, if im casting into holes and underhangs a fair sized cube.

Re: Luncheon Meat
Can you still get the special stinky garlic spam and black pepper spam?
They were great.

Re: Luncheon Meat
Tesco's are currently selling a limited edition of Garlic Spam at £1 a tin as a special offer (not special stinky stuff) but I'm sure at that price it will be OK.

I find I have to put my unused Pepperami in the freezer, otherwise it quickly goes a bit furry. Maybe that's what they mean by the slogan "It's a bit of an animal"? :hahaha:DrBleep wrote: one stick for hookbait will last months if left in the cellophane sleeve.
I certainly agree that the original green label variety is best for bait - I've never had a single fish on the Chili, Firestick, or BBQ varieties!
