It looks, however, as if you can only get it on line for which there's a minimum £3.99 delivery charge. At first it said I could reserve and collect but now it's saying there's none in stock at any branches in the UK only in the warehouse.
They also used to do in France a version of the hempseed bread impregnated with blood for predator fishing but that's not available either now. Whether it's the blood or the hemp that's the problem I don't know. I remember in the old days dried blood or fresh ox blood used to be recommended as a ground bait for tench and bream. Given pike and perch ability to detect blood traces I think it would work for them as well.

i used to use dried blood in my groundbait mix when tench fishing i use to buy it in france by the tin and i did try hempseed cake but didnt get on with that probably doing some thing wrong with that, that postage is a bit steep for a bit of dried bread

Can you remember the brand name or where you bought it at all? I visit France quite a lot and I'd like to pick some up when I'm next there.i used to use dried blood in my groundbait mix when tench fishing i use to buy it in france by the tin

cant remember the name but it was a yellow and red tin with a stylised fish on it i bought it in a little tackle shop in a place called gray in the franche comte then i found another shop in a village called persac in the vienne near where i used to have a houseStathamender wrote:@ Gord

Blood powder I now find is fairly easily available now in the UK, after several years of unavailability. There's at least two suppliers on eBay and Ccmoore also do it (although their postage rates are outrageous).
