Meatballs

Post by ExeAngler »

Anyone had much success with Meatballs. I have seen John Bailey using them for Barbel but do they work for other species? I used to use sausages as a bait when I was a kid and had Carp up to 7 or 8 pound. That was in the early 80s in a old farm pond.

Chub love meatballs too. I've seen them take them two at a time. Carp too have a liking and you don't always need a whole one on the hook

I was looking for some the other day in the Supermarket - in fact any tinned meat - and found it hard to find much of a selection at all! Tesco, Waitrose, Co-op, Sainsbury, etc.

Where do you get yours?

I've always managed to find them in supermarkets but also and lidl do cheaper varieties. The chicken meatballs are firmer and easier to get on with.

Hmmmmmm. .... I thinks i might have a go at making some tomorrow at work. What would be a good additive/flavour.
Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish

Ohh, sorry thought you was offering Sunday lunch :Hahaha:
Seriously though you need something that gives off loads of flavour/scent, garlic, chilly, blue cheese??

Campbell's meatballs are a great bait but just disgusting to the touch, make sure you have a baiting needle!
