Green earthworms

I think they are called the green morph,those little green worms that curl up in the hand.has anyone had any success using these for bait?i was going to give them a bash tomorrow.

Whenever I have used the green ones I never had a bite! Only to put a regular red worm on and have bites straight away.

They have no place on the angler's hook lest he be looking to blank. Having said that, I bet you go out and bag a monster.

I have never used green worms but i remember 20 years ago our local maggot farm started selling green and blue maggots,they were just dyed you are thinking and you would be correct but these maggots were between 1" and 1.5 " each and chub loved them
I spend most of my life fishing the Rest i just waste

I expect they were wax worm larvae Jacko. The French use them as 'trout bait' but I would imagine anything that could cram one in it's mouth would eat one.

Thanks Dave,i always have wondered what they could be ,maybe i will try waxworms later in the year
