Walton's honey and yeast (not Walton)

Post by MarkG »

Reading Issac Waltons book he often mentions honey, I have tried this on a few occasions either mixed in bread paste or bread flake dipped in it but it has not seemed to have made much difference. I have made some fermented bread yeast in a small jar with warm water and a little sugar and when all frothy pored it over my maggots, beware they become sticky and crawl up the side of your bait box so keep the lid on. Very good, loads of fish but small. I think the yeast is what fish smell in bread and that's why it is so good and so much better than flour paste for example and it hides the ammonia smell on maggots.
