Peperami (Salami Sausage Meat)

Post by J.T »

While it may not be a traditional bait, this type of meat has been around for a good long while in one form or another so I think it deserves a mention.

Very good for Carp, especially in colder weather.

Yep - especially the hot (red) version. Had loads of winter carp on a bit of 'Rami balanced with a piece of red rig foam, fished over a tiny PVA mesh bag of pellet - yet conventional wisdom would suggest neither are good winter baits due to the fat content.

I used to fish with this on the Kennet back in the 90s. Must try it again.
I used to side hook a small piece and had loads of chub to 5lb.
