Cheers MGs. Missed a Mitchell 320 today, the guy wanted a fiver so I thought I'd wait til later to haggle. Went back and he'd packed up and gone home. Never mind I'll get it next time!
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

A second hand/antiques type store this time.

£3.00 spent for a ver nice condition Intrepid Regent.

Nice and smooth and bonus spare spool.
One question, does the bail arm look right or has it been bent?

Cheers Gents.

Dave the box is for a monarch. But that's what it was in so I didn't grumble!

That bail arm could mark it as an early version of the reel ... I have 2 'Continentals' (circa 1959) with a very similar bail arm design, though in reverse ... as the Continental rotated the way Mitchell's do.

Cheers Mal, I'm pretty sure the bail arm is correct. What I'm not sure of is wether it's bent out of shape?

Here's the bail on my Regent...

LL, if the bail arm works on yours then I would guess it's not too bent (if at all), and if it doesn't work then yes, it's bent :eyebrow: :Scared:
