Leather fly rod case

Post by Robbi »

A mate of mine has an old Hardy Smuggler 8 piece fly rod that he wanted a leather rod case for.

I've never done one before so it was a bit of hit and miss with everything being done by hand and eye !

I've made the straps to fit the webbing on his fly bag and the top one can turn through 90 degrees so that it can be clipped onto a belt if required.

It needs a final polish but here it is :) hope you like it :)

That's lovely Robbi, I've done a bit of leather work in the past but nowhere near that standard, is that your trade? :Hat:

Stunning Robbi :Hat:
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Superb work Robbi, it's a thing of real beauty and I think if Hardys see it, you will be getting a few orders.
