TF....I used to harden the points by tempering them, but now I just rely on seasoning them for 12 months and then sharpening them. .....they seem as good, and I just re sharpen when required.

Wal.....He who dares wins mate....I wouldn't hesitate....get your ladder round there pronto! The old bill are far too busy trying to catch people for walking on the cracks in the pavement, wearing loud shirts in a built up area, loitering with intent of using a zebra crossing etc etc .......you could always tell em you were "special branch".....

Hi Rob,
it's funny how fate works....I was out collecting a few sprigs of holly for the house and out of the blue a nice piece of hazel caught my eye and is now in a cool dry place waiting for the months to pass........before I get my hands on it !!!

Isn't it a lovely zip of adrenaline when you spot a good one.....there are plenty of average ones, but when you find that one with the almost perfect fork......well it's better than being asked out on a date by Liv Tyler.......well done Trentfisher :Thumb:
