DIce Walker Rod Rests

Dear friends,I seem to think that Dick had made a rod rest that was photo in a magazine that I saw many years ago, does anybody have any info on that design as I was thinking of making a copy for my own use next year.Thank you Reelmaker

If my memory serves me right there is a drawing of this in Dick's book Still Water Angling.

Dear friends,Mark has said that there is a drawing of a rod rest in still water angling ,would any body like to put up a picture as I do not have that book for reference .Reelmaker

Cor! That's a bit of a bruiser. Not so kind to cane either.
There are much nicer examples that have been displayed from members here.
Arnt they chromed and sold as BBQ spit roast pins now ? :Hahaha:

Do yourself a favour and do away with the circle below where the rod sits. Your line gets caught occasionally in this style on a sideways strike. A straight channel for the line to pass through freely is a much better design. I think it was Drennan who commercially made a plastic version of the above many years ago, mine soon went in the bin after the above mentioned issues.
