My Macapult

Post by Muscavado »

Gentlemen,
This Forum and Paul Duffields's excellent book has inspired me to do more in my workshop, hence my attempt at my "Macapult " ( my surname is McCallum )
MarkG kindly let me have the end piece of the butt of an Army & Navy rod, and the rest I cobbled together with pieces from my "can't throw it out" box which most of us have.
As an ex Navy man I am used to polishing brass and for some unknown reason I can't bring myself to blacken the brass although i will probably regret it.
I have successfully launched some pellets into next doors garden and their cat is extremely grateful, although probably belching up Halibut gas as we speak. :Chuckle:

That's fantastic - brilliant work!
A well tended garden is a sign of an un-committed angler

Gentlemen,
Many thanks for your nice comments. :Hat:
I am currently working on a pair of bank sticks, one of which will be hopefully unique
I will post photos when they are complete

John
