No, the whipping on the AC1's has actually rotted (40 year old blanks from Keswalls of Woodford)!
It was some Sportex carbons(!) from Tackle Box just 25 years old.

I remember the advanced Keswall payment terms, paying " on the book" actually meant a name in the shop book with handwriiten entrances as the debt was cleared, and of course we were using the tackle whilst paying, somehow contactless card payments now seem several steps in the wrong direction

Epoxy remains can be removed by warming it up a little and if you use Scots brite it is gone in no time
