Just by coincidence I interviewed Jean Williams last month and undertook a photo essay for issue 3 of Fallon's Angler. The interview delves into the history of Sweets, Harry Powell who opened the shop (famous for his rod building), Lionel who was the Amateur European Casting champion in the 1950's and much more about the Usk Town Water Fishery Association which was formed in 1923.
It's a great place to visit in the shadow of Usk castle, loads of atmosphere...
