Maskells

Post by Macko »

Maskells in Uxbridge Rd, Shepherds Bush was the first ever tackle shop I went into and looked
at the tackle I could never afford, as a 6 yr old kid. After picking up every float and then putting
them back, I was told to leave the shop if I weren't buying anything.
I returned a week later and started picking up the floats again when the owner said exactly the
same as the week before. Only this time I was buying. I had spent all week pestering people to
let me have their empties to take back, (bottles). I bought three quill floats and lost them all at
Farlows Lake in Iver, before Boyers had it on my first outing. Happy days.

No Tookes was in the Fulham road, I used to spend ages looking at the cane rods in the window.
