New member.. Hello

Post by Tench Dreamer »

Hello..I can see from reading many entries that I will be amongst similar minded Anglers on this fine forum.

In particular the thread on the River Lea, which I stand beside the banks of often , in my effort to catch its ellusive head of coarse fish, in a way acted as the groundbait.

But it was the the thread( and of course many others) on articles written by a certain Mr C Yates in 1981/82 in Coarse Fishing monthly that made the float Dip..I hadn't seen these in literally 30 years , but the photos and writing was impregnated in my mind from way back then.In 1982 I hadnt been fishing for long , but did have a love of natural history. The way he fished , and wrote about fishing appealed to me.

And still did after a 22 year gap, when I returned to fishing proper, and finally got a cane rod.

Thank You.

Hello, John, and welcome.
Are you going to Broxbourne on Thursday? (Yes, it's Grump/Alan.)
