Welcome bobbinwatcher. :hat:
What do you classify as a retro carp angling?

i started back in the mid 80,s,, i have a quite a few bits of carp tackle, rods reels etc from 80,s/90,s,, and still use them for most of my fishing today,, diawa rods, pre-nash, baboon ass reels etc,, i actually stumbled across the forum whilst trying to source a pair of heron alarms, to go with my 55,s on a pair of glass fibre rods,

Welcome to the forum. As Snape says, it is all about the way you fish. I fish with cane for most species but I don't have a cane carp rod, so I use an old fibreglass one. I still fish in the the same way, just with different kit.

Welcome. I use cane and Hardy glass. I like the early 80's retro theme as well as my cane rods.
