The butt section now has all the whippings complete ... I've gone for a two-tone green colour scheme ... and of course there are extra intermediates to strengthen the repaired splits. The first coat of sealer has been applied.

Brilliant job Ashby! Your an inspiration! I've a heap of what looks like bean poles in the post and I'm hoping to be able to emulate your fine craftmanship and make a similar looking rod out of them! Not a hope!!! But it looks like fun so I'll give it a try!
