Thanks for all the input gents.

Still no replies re the value of an original bag & I'll add [for good measure] ferrule stoppers.

What do you reckon? Significant added value or not?

Did the Wizard have stoppers? My re-conditionned one seems robust enough not to need them. The brass ferrules on The Lancer certainly need them.

Does it get a run out on the Test on Monday? Grayling but maybe big trout. Looks like a suitable first trip to me! Trudex + 6lb mainline & 3 or 4lb hooklink.
