The most precious places in the English landscape are those secretive corners,
where you find only elder trees, nettles and dreams. (BB - Denys Watkins-Pitchford).

1937 Hardy Angler's Guide, Coronation Number ( May 1937 following the abdication in December last )

Image

In this edition, Hardy outrageously claim to have invented split cane building in 1885, not bothering to explain Phillipe's rods of 1848 being offered for sale in America, nor Farlow's in 1872.

Eight and nine sided cane for sale, steel cored rods.............

Masses of information and explanations, a splendid publication, but no 'bottom' tackle or mention of FWK.

Happy to search for anything members need information on.....
