Re: Rest in peace Eddie Price
There was a very good obituary of Eddie in the Daily Telegraph today, largely concentrating on his well known non angling activities.Right at the end it mentioned, largely in passing, his interest in angling and carp fishing in particular.

Like Penninelad just read yesterdays piece in the Telegraph on Eddie Price, what a well rounded chap he was, farmer, archeologist, restoring the classic buildings on the farm and finding time for his love of fishing and in the process catching big fish, have not read his 'diary book' but I'm sure he would have been as happy catching any size and species as well as the cracking Carp which graced his net.

Re: Rest in peace Eddie Price
Hello All,
Today was the occasion of a church service to celebrate Eddie's long and very successful life.
Martin Mumby informed the large congregation of Eddie's fishing prowess; Neil Holbrook confirmed that Eddie excelled as an archaeologist, being rated by his peers among the very best; one of Eddie's six son's, Arthur Price, gave an entertaining and at times humorous Eulogy.
It was a privilege to have known Eddie, and to have been present at such a wonderful send-off.
Sleep well, dear friend.
Len.

A full life with so much achieved.
Eddie certainly left his mark and an impression on more than one group of enthusiasts. Not many can ever say that.

All in all a fascinating man, well remembered and revered, a breed apart in any sense of the word. His long stand at the crease was most well deserved. RIP.
