Some photos I sorted out earlier that were taken when I met Chris and Bernard at the opening of Kingfisher's of Stow on the 13th of April 1996. The envelope I am looking at with Chris contained another 100 or so pages of the ' Casting At The Sun 'manuscript I had bought off him. When I eventually had the pages bound in leather another envelope dropped through the door with an odd page Chris had found. That page is loosely fitted inside the book with a note of explanation. I still have the small fish shaped penknife which I loaned to Chris on the day to cut the ribbon when opening the shop and the invitation card. Bernard Venables was there too. A great day.

Three old photos I was given a few years ago by Pete Stone I think. They were taken by author and angler Bob Buteux.
1. shows Bill Warren in June 1961 at Crazy Corner, The Royalty Fishery on the River Avon.
2. Shows a display by B.James and Son - London at the 1965 Game Fair.
3. Shows Joe Taylor (Fred 'J's ' Brother) with Bill Warren and Peter Stone taken in the 1960's.

I found these in a box in my garage. Back in the day when I had to type the articles, then go out and photocopy all the copies, come home and staple it all together. Finally hand write all the names and address on the envelopes and drop them in the Post Office......No Internet back then....
