Thigh wader recommendations
I'm after a decent pair of thigh waders for some roach/grayling trotting.
Can anyone recommend a good pair?
Cheers

Whatever you get - get them 1 or 2 sizes bigger than usual - for the socks! Or thermal leggings.
I have had all sorts of waders and they are always cool on my feet in the winter.

That's good advice. The problem is finding a shop near me (Manchester) where I can try them on.
Might have to order a pair and then send them back if they don't feel right.
The VASS game waders look good..

Thigh waders only truly cover water depth up to just above your knees. Leaving a gap of about 8in to the wader top.
Waist waders to your about your groin and chesties up to your waist.
You don't really want to get wet especially on a cold day!

Ocean waders would be my choice.

I have a set of Diawa neoprene chest waders and find them very warm, not that I go wading upto my nacky noos but do prefer sitting on the bank when river fishing:Hat:

I bought a pair of neoprene thigh waders from the chaps below. The link is actually to their standard thigh waders.

They are very helpful and the waders I bought are excellent. They are based in Liverpool and set up with ex-Dunlop employees when Dunlop moved the factory abroad. The owner is an angler and uses his own products.

I've been looking at these Jack. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BISON-4MM-NEO ... 1438.l2649
I know they'd be for all year round and that you'll be hot in the summer but surely standing in the water should cool you down a bit and keeping the wet stuff out is the priority? They do look comfortable. Order a size above your normal shoe size it says though.

I use the Bison neoprene wellies which I bought from that seller. Good value and excellent service. Wouldn't recommend neoprene chesties for summer use though.
