Hi from London
Hi,
my name is John and I live in London, I have just returned to freshwater fishing from many years in the salty stuff.
Initially I targeted the chalk streams of South London for small chub, dace, roach, perch and gudgeon using my LRF gear and some home made floats. the first thing I learned is that 4lb braid does not go well with brambles but there is some good fishing to be had.
Lately I have been exploring some of the side streams of the Medway, finding some big perch and bream forcing me to rethink my tackle. Rather than go the high tech route again I am planning to go for an 11 foot cane rod and centre pin reel for the bigger rivers, and this site looks an ideal place to start.

A hearty welcome, Sir.

Welcome. Can I just say that a 10ft rod can perform very well whereas 11ft significantly increases the weight. But go your own way and discuss the yay'a and nah's on here
