Which Barbour jacket do you wear?

Got some interesting traditional angler's clothing you want to talk about.

Morning Chris my friend,

Although both were referred to as "heavy weight waxed cotton" I know that for some time (early 1980's I seem to recall) Barbour were using heavier weight material for the Solway zipper. The ones before the 'round' zipper pull were heavier still.

The Solway and the moorland were in a heavier weight material. Both being made from the same material. The Northumbria was also in a heavier waxed cotton complete with a wool liner rather than cotton. The waxed cotton outer was different to the Solway material though. The Border was the lightweight Northumbria with a lighter waxed cotton and lighter cotton liner.
