Virtually on your doorstep:
www.harlestonanglingclub.co.uk
Some of the pits are a bit carpy, but Club Pit, Middle Pit and Hall's might be more suited to your requirements.
There's also a stretch of the Waveney on the ticket.
Or there's this one: www.bungaycherrytree.co.uk with a lot more of the Waveney and a few lakes.

The only 'dumb' thing about questions is NOT asking them ! ... or so my old physics teacher 'Gammy' Hill would say.

Re: silly questions...
Re-visiting my birth place Framlingham some years ago, I discovered Needham Market just down the road and its Mere sat beside the river Gipping. Had a pleasant few hours watching an old gentleman swing tipping for roach and tench. There is also a tackle come cycle shop in the village. The good angler is not the one with expensive equipment. Common sense, observation and trying to realize
what is happening above and below water will catch fish no matter what price equipment you fish with.
