Wal strikes again

Post by Loop Erimder »

Having aquired a nice length of bamboo from Andrew Davis back in January for me to eventually make a nice posh landing net handle.......well......I got as far as scraping the outer layer off.. and so it lay dormant for several months....So..... I asked on here if anyone would take on the job of finishing it off for me..... a very kind offer came in (thank you Neil )....although the turn around could have been a while and so politely declined.... then to my rescue our own Wallys-Cast got in touch and very kindly offered to take on the job. After a few exchanges the bamboo was shipped off for Wal to work his magic.....I thought I'd chance it but it wasn't essential of my desired effect of the handle. Wal had a few practices on some bamboo before letting rip on my pole :Chuckle:
Anyhoo.....The handle was delivered today and to say I'm over the moon is an understatement.... very chuffed indeed......

Wow that's a beauty!

Great work Wal.
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.
