Re: Wal strikes again
Glad you like it Loop.
As you can see below, I did go through a few bits of bamboo just practicing until I found out how the desired pattern was made and it was one of those "well here goes" moments when I actually started on it.
.
Glad it turned out ok
Thanks for all the kind comments chaps, always appreciated..
Best wishes to all for the 16th.

Wohoow! I usually don't like those flamings on cane but in this case it looks rather like scales. And that I have to admit I quite like. Well done Wal. What a nice job!

As ever, Wal "handled" that job beautifully and compared to the one I made it's "poles" apart!

I have a few examples of Wal's work and I can heartily concur that the man is an artist.... I'd love to meet him, if only to shake him warmly by the hand in thanks for such superb craftsmanship
Just one more cast love, and I'll be on me way home

These are the images I sent to Wal and asked if was possible to do something similar..... I never expected the handle to come out as it did....It goes up there with the Craftversa and Senior Wallis Avon now and will have its first outing on the 26th.....It have to wait 10 days for my first river outing.......incidentally these pics are Chris Yates/ Barder handle
Couple more of my handle
