Very good black and white photos - they capture the beauty of the place really well.Goosequill wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2017 8:21 pm Here are a few snaps from late July of last season:

Re: Wotton Underwood Lake
Looks fantastic. I live 5 minutes away from the lake but have never fished it. From what I've been told it's not well.suited access wise for wheelchairs. I've also been told otters had moved in and decimated the place is their any truth to this?
I go fishing not to find myself but to lose myself.

Re: Wotton Underwood Lake
Indeed it would be a challenge with a wheelchair as there is an incline from the car park up to the lake.
Yes, Otters have been active on both lakes - The Warrells and The Sawmills.
The Warrells has not returned a carp, to my knowledge, in the 10 years or so that i have fished it.
The Sawmills is slowly going the same way however is not yet empty of fish.
Praticality wise the estate is unlikely to ever be able to fence both lakes due to the size and enormous cost to do so.
The potential of the place is simply staggering and it could be one of greatest carp and tench lakes ever but i fear it now needs a billionairre to make that happen.....
I still stay in the syndicate as i just find the place so enchanting and a great destressor and dream of the days when Fred J Taylor and others were fishing it ........
