It is possible to make a smaller one with a belt clip to take it with you very easy but working on that

It is very well finished Evert..and certainly a very novel idea! I have never thought of storing flies in a tube before..

But..to be perfectly honest and without being too critical, from the practical point of view, it takes up a lot of space in the pocket for the amount of flies that can be stored.

Have you tried making a flat case from laminated bamboo strips..?

Thanks for posting it.

A novel idea Sir. Very nice, wonderful craftsmanship.
As I fly Angler who at times is constantly changing flies, I think I would find the 2 separate pieces quite difficult to handle. That said, if you're an angler that fishes at a more relaxed pace then I imagine that this would make a delightful piece of kit. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Cork or foam internals? Or a choice?

I always worry about cork breaking up after hooks are stuck in it. Hence I don't do it on my rod handles!

PS - the perch looks fabulous!
