I`d like to ask a favour of folks who own either a narrow or wide speedia. Would it be possible to weigh them and let me know. It doesn't have to be exact, as your pin may have line on it, if possible in gms, but willing to except oz.... I`m doing a centre comparison experiment, and I don't own either model!...
Many thanks in advance....

Hi Mike
The narrows do vary but the later improved would be around 195 grammes .
The earlier pill box narrow models are a fair bit lighter around 178 grammes.
Sorry I havnt weighed a wide drum .

Re: Weighty issues!
I thought I`d update the folks who kindly responded to my originally enquiry....
I`ve compared the weight of the Speedia models, with my customised MK II Greys Bewick centre pins, which I had lightweight line guards fitted to my specifications and with Gary's expertise, advice & manufacturing skills @ The Mill Tackle Company Ltd. I cannot praise Gary`s work enough, it is utterly superb! Here's an example of two of them
A standard Greys Bewick centre pin weighs 180gms ( 6.34931oz), my customised versions weigh 184gms ( 6.49041oz), so the line guards weigh 4gms (0.141096oz), a negligible amount!
