Beaudex Fly Reel
I need to change the line guard round so that I can wind with my left hand and cast with my right hand. Can anybody tell me the size of the small screws which hold line guard to the body of the reel ? Also can I get taps for this size screw? Thanks for your help

I can measure mine when I return home later if no one comes up with the size before then.

Re: Beaudex Fly Reel
The screw securing mine is 6BA and about 5mm long .
I hadn't noticed there was no thread on the other side of mine to convert it round the right way .

Yes the line guards on most Young's fly reels I have are fitted for right hand winders with no threaded holes to change the line guard.I suppose I could save myself the trouble and just carry on fishing without using a line guard.
