Thanks to the admin team for accepting my application to join your forum, and hello to you all.
Unfortunately my introduction does not read as interestingly as some i have read, as I am actually just at the beginning of my journey into traditional tackle and techniques.
My turning point was a day out with a old fishing friend who I had not seen for some while, and regaining some of the fun & enjoyment I experienced in my younger years that over time had been lost.
As a long time lurker on this forum, I have slowly been re evaluating the enjoyment I was actually getting out of my fishing and found myself in a familiar situation of acquiring a mountain of unnecessary tackle that the industry had convinced me I really needed.
I am now in the process of sliming down my current tackle, and hopefully actually making a few useful items along the way.
Regards
Steve B

Pull up a pew, pour a favourite tipple and enjoy the banter

Welcome to the forum :Hat:
You'll find you soon have a lot more unnecessary tackle it'll just be a lot older, tis a slippery slope :Chuckle:
There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.
