Always a joy to watch and listen to Jack. Thank you.
The coiled line travels from the reel, it brings up at last, the hook goes home, and then begins the test of skill. "BB"

A great little film by one of the best.
If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.

Ah the tale of the poaching rod...one of my favourites! One of our members here is equally addicted to that one and may have tracked down the very pond!

The thought of Miss Sowerbutt giving away her Dad's 'poaching' rod with a tear in her eye to a young man going off to war, rather brings a tear to mine......

Is it the same rod?......where is it now? I don't suppose we shall ever know.....
