Re: Hello from Rutland
The fire's lit and the kettles on, pull up a chair on this cold winters night, and enjoy some fishy nattering.
I'm going, I'm going, where the water tastes like wine, gonna jump in the river and stay drunk all the time.

Cheers everyone, I'm enjoying reading all the other threads. I thought I was the only person still using old reels etc, how naive!

Welcome to the TFF Sir
No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.

Re: Hello from Rutland
Welcome, Kevin:
I couldn't agree more about the sounds of silver paper and the Mitchell 300 bail arm. Nothing sad about it---I caught my best tench with that reel and indicator (also in the 70's), and still use the combination today! Welcome to a great forum!

A hearty welcome, Sir.
