Now that my status is EEL

Post by Bob Brookes »

Just a bit if fun from an eel wrangling session I had a few years ago. I have shown these before but they still make me smile so, any excuse! :Ok:

That’s a beauty, Bob. They are difficult to wrangle, but the fight like a fish twice their size. Just wish there was more of them about. Congrats on your milestone.

Bob I think your supposed to calm them down by reading the newspaper to them. Something like that anyway.

Great pics mate.

Sorry mate, but I first thought wow, how green it is in GB for the time of year! And how much of a 'warrior' you must be to be without shirt. I had more than one of such size and when I remember I have to say I am glad I have no pictures of myself compared to you handling IT so nicely!

Eels are generally very placid fish but when confronted by a semi-naked man they become excitable as is demonstrated here.

Four photos that have convinced me never to target specimen eels. :Hahaha: :Hahaha:

I've got a soft spot for the humble eel.

Wow that’s a cracking “Eric” Hovis, I too love eels, much to the disgust off my fishing mate! May I ask how big it went? I’ve had a few gooduns, the biggest going 6.08lb and too my eyes looked a monster....
