History in a Hardy rod bag

Post by Coral Maestro »

I found a couple of these in an antiques shop on a recent trip to the UK and was curious as to the history of the Harris and Sheldon Group:

A bit of an investigation on the internet indicates that they were/are a private investments company who took over Hardys in 1967. Interestingly, the Group owns the Junction and Sprouston beats on the River Tweed and a couple of salmon beats on the Tay.
Hardys was sold to Pure Fishing in 2013.
What do they know of fishing who know only one fish and one way to fish for him?

They went from 10 down to 1! I have a recent Hardy fly rod which has the Prince of Wales plumes on the rod bag along with "By Appointment to H. R. H. The Prince of Wales.
