After a long time thinking how to make the spread block parts for a two arms landing net i finally made it.
The parts are difficult to make without a milling machine but with a few modifications on my lathe and with the use off a self-made part for the use of a 3 claw chuck that i have on my lathe i made it possible to make these parts.

First i made the holes in a long aluminium flat bar and saw the parts out

Made a 19mm hole with a round head end mill to put it in a height transport that i bough special for my lathe after a few modifications i was able to use it very well

Now i have the T piece that can be turned on the lathe, the problem was that i have a 3 jaw chuck and have to solve the problem with a piece that i made to attach the T piece on to turn it on the lathe

i don't have a miling machine so i drilled two holes in it to make the slots, this way i did not have to file much, saw them out and the rest i did with a file :-)

made two holes for the bolts with thread on both sides

wood from my old table was good enough for the spreader to make and burned a little kingfisher on it

With this the net is almost finished and again i learned a lot from this project and only can be better with the next one i going to make, what i try to say that there is always a way to make things if you want
