I've asked them, I don't think they do. If they do I want some...

Looked at their website yet?
I found some F6/Z1 for sale? And F7/Z1B for sale? Both described as Jack Hilton hooks.

Thanks Olly. They are advertised as such, but are nickel flashed, the original JH's were black Japanned and in my opinion a far better hook. I tried the F6 and F7, threw them all out after a second hook opened enough to slip a carp...

Re: Hook patterns gone for ever?
Glad to know that, I may have a few old Partridge hooks somewhere. All the rage when I was in the tackle trade. So the F6 & F7 are suspect for carp? Do you think they would cope with barbel/chub/tench/etc?
Just had a look and found some 25 x size 1 x Z1. Plus other sizes loose & unpackaged. Kept separately compartments of several hook boxes. Also packaged Z17 in 4/6/8 which I think Drennan copied. Plus few loose one in the 'grey' - can't remember the number tho.
Jack's son was in the same club as me!

Re: Hook patterns gone for ever?
Those are the only four barbed ones I have left, I used to close the barbs up with needle nose pleiers and use them like that. I found the F6/F7 a little thin in the wire, especially being barbless, and they opened out a bit. I think they'd be OK for chub, but I'd probably skip them for tench and barbel myself. I use Korda Wide Gape B's in the small sizes, they're my goto carp hook anyway and even the 12s and 10s are tough little hooks.Olly wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 3:26 pm Glad to know that, I may have a few old Partridge hooks somewhere. Re: Hook patterns gone for ever?
Crushing barbs works well on Drennan, Kamasan etc. For a long time Partridge hooks where very much in vogue in the game fishing world and I got asked to tie thousands, however the nature of their tempering meant that often when crushing barbs (prevalent with the increase interest in C&R) the barb or worse entire point would often shear off! I've always found the major brand Japanese hooks superb.
