Crucian Fishery Map
*ahem*
I've just added a custom google map for the crucian fisheries listed on the website, on:
https://crucians.org/html/fishery_maps.php
It may be useful, but also any feedback or new venues do please get in touch.

Re: Crucian Fishery Map
Interesting! Are these all day ticket waters? Not wishing to be critical but zooming in on the 2 closest to me there are no names attributed to the sites, making contact with these fisheries is therefore going to be problematic....

Re: Crucian Fishery Map
No, they're not all day ticket waters but my attempt to document waters containing true crucians. Look at the list of waters for specific waters. It isn't easy as I rely on people to look at the list and provide up to date information, and I'm always willing to upgrade waters given sufficient evidence from a U - thought to possibly hold crucians - to A, B or C, which are varying categories of waters with genuine crucians. Sometimes new waters are developed, and sometimes waters that previously held crucians no longer hold them due to redevelopment, predation or the population dying out. Cole hosts the website which belongs to Peter Rolfe and we hope that all the information provided encourages people to cherish crucians and in some cases develop new fisheries.

If you click on the icon for a fishery, the information that is also on the fishery list appears, including any url or permission informationDaceAce wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 12:53 pmNo, they're not all day ticket waters but my attempt to document waters containing true crucians. Thanks for posting JAA.
Crucians are delightful fish. I love to catch them in the summer months and one of my favourite summer Stillwater's is listed as category "B". Great stuff !

Re: Crucian Fishery Map
Brilliant I thought, as I have been looking for a crucian fishery near me for ages.
There are two listed near Melton Mowbray, one is a wholesale fishmonger and the other is in the middle of a football field

Re: Crucian Fishery Map
Yep that. Otherwise I'd need to work out grid references for all the waters, enter them and...so on and so forth. I've add some exposition to the webpage to make that really clear.Rod Fisher wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 9:27 pmThe location icons are postcode based. Click the icons to see where exactly they refer to (in this case it's Eye Kettleby lakes and Jason's pond, Frisby fishery).Homer Simpson wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 7:49 pm Brilliant I thought, as I have been looking for a crucian fishery near me for ages.

P.S. I've changed Eye Kettleby to the right postcode. Jason's Lake's Postcode had no space in it, I've amended that as well. Give it ten minutes it should be correct. @Daceace, feel free to grab the right postcodes for your list
