Allcocks Combination
Hi I have just purchased three rods one is a Allcocks Combination but I only have four sections, three bamboo and one solid fibreglass to make a total length of 3.4m or 11ft. Its a bit strange because the third section is a good foot shorter than the others but it fits together nicely. There is also fibreglass spinning rod made by Major rod made in Canada. Does anyone know anything about this company. Many thanks John.

Re: Allcocks Combination
Most combination rods have a section that is smaller than the rest so as long as they all fit together I wouldn't worry about it !

Re: Allcocks Combination
You have four sections of a five piece combination rod. The missing section is a short stout fibreglass section to make a heavy leger or light sea rod.

Re: Allcocks Combination
I do have the short stout section also I have found in my collection a split cane top section which fits its a bit stiffer than the fibreglass section. I would like to know what guides were used also what colour thread please. Thanks for the reply John.
