Fred J Taylor receiving his MBE

Post by Snape »

I stumbled upon this video of FJT receiving his MBE in 2008.

Nigel thank you for posting the item of the great Fred J Taylor getting his well-deserved honour of his MBE. I had seen it before, but it’s refreshing to see it again, thank you.

Thank you so much for posting that.
Absolutely marvellous, what a humble man he was, a genuine " one off"
I was privileged to meet him and Richard Walker when I was a boy and I've never forgotten it, and followed him ever since.
A Model for us all.
That truly is one I will keep.
Thanks again.
Mr B.
The close season is an important and interesting time for the Angler who set out to catch big fish. It is a timely opportunity for him to make new tackle or renovate old. There are no end of jobs to do, apart from those horrible things called Gardens!

He was one of the 'greats' of angling, a character and a very nice man. A well deserved honour! :Hat:
