1947 PM Tamson 2LT Den Haag spin reel

Post by Woodbilly »

Here's another of my rare reels I put in rotation for crappie fishing.

My 1947 Tamson half bail with original box and exploded parts diagram/ manual.
Medium size 10 oz. In weight. No anti reverse and 2.75:1 ratio
Made in Holland

I tore this one down and gave it a complete refurbish. Very easy to work on. 2 screwdrivers and a punch. Done!

Don't know much about this one as not alot of info out thete. I have also caught many crappie on this one. Very cool one to use. The very distinct metal on metal, "ting", of the closing bail arm, is so lovely.

I have had a couple of these Tamson reels, a left and right hand wind. The only fixed spool reel made in Holland. Yours looks great with it's makeover.

Thank you, both. This reel fishes very nicely. I also love the look of it. That bright polished aluminum.... Shine on you crazy diamond!

Ha! Another of my royal reels! It appears solid orange in pictures, but It's actually tri-color CrappieMax Camo 6lb test. Chartreuse, hi-vis orange, and clear. Each color section is about 20" before changing to the next color and repeating. Use the clear for the leader and the color changes help judge depth after coming off bottom of bed with jig.
Love it.

:Hahaha: I'm a bit orange fixated at the moment. I was in Amsterdam for Koningsdag last weekend! :Ok:
