4lb 3oz Crucian

Post by Mark »

Just look at this Crucian, what a fish and caught by our very own Mike Wilson, truly a fish of dreams. :Hat:

In Mikes own words...
It weighed 4lb 3oz and was caught last Sunday 3rd February on 2 red maggots, 16 hook to 2lb line whilst fishing for the elusive 3lb roach. It was a beautiful golden brown colour however the closeness of the flash appears to have burnt out the colours somewhat. Surprised to catch it in February with a water temperature of 42F.

Quite simply ... WOW !!!

Must be just about in the top 10 crucians caught in this country.

What an incredible catch Mike, I've caught a few Crues during the winter months but nothing like that even in the warm weather - stuck on 3.15 since 2005 - one from the Summer Pit and the other from Marsh Farm.

Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish

Simply staggering Mike. :Hat:
