There was a good chub swim on the lower end at Throop where a pipe ran in.The bushes below were festooned with toilet paper and it was thought that raw sewage overflowed and came down the pipe.Chub tails could sometimes be seen poking out of the pipe entrance and they certainly grew fat in this swim. :mrgreen: .I wouldnt fancy trying that bait though. :hahaha: .

The sewage outfall at Athlone on the Shannon was always reckoned to be a bream hotspot.

I guess what's palatable to us isn't necessarily so with fish - I mean did you ever smell Dickie Carr's Chub Attractor? Believe me, it's right up there with drowned rotting slugs.

So next time I over-indulge, puke up horribly (thankfully a rare event) and feel miserable I put the evidence in a bag and mix it into my groundbait........ Maybe not. Errrrr.
