Yup the Match was Spanish reed. I had a 12 footer exactly as described in your catalogue page. The reed split so it's become a donor rod. I'm experimenting with the tip section as an additional tip for an Adonis. The ferrules are the same size.

Just a quick report of how the Supreme fishes. I used it today with 6lb line and had a succession of roach, bream, tench and a couple of small carp. The rod handled them well and it's certainly capable of handling tench to around 5lb and carp of a similar size. The rod feels very trippy in use, but it does bend well with a fish on. I'm very impressed with it and it will be used regularly on still waters.

I am really pleased you are happy with your Supreme SeanM, I was really impressed with mine and feel it is such a capable tool with power in reserve for when those unexpected larger fish come along.

A cracking rod Reedling. I did of course mean tippy and not trippy. There's a liveliness to the action of this rod that I haven't felt before and you can punch a float out really well with it.
