I have a couple of Tweed Jackets a winter and a summer/autumn one.
The winter has been with me for more years than I wish to recall and has taken on a life of it's own as I don't need to hang it up in the garage because it's stands to attention. Must be the years of Cheese and Sausage meat paste attached to it.
This year I bought myself from the bowels of fleebay a lighter and shorter version total cost about £40 from a well known retailer in London.

I should have bought that Harris Tweed. Mine looks like something out of a pound shop....

I purchased mine about 6 years ago from a second hand shop. I have no idea how old it is but would like to know.

On a serious note Mark, Sir ... found this reference which may prove useful on a web search ... "just found this post about christopher dawes, going back a way but i used to work for christopher in leeds and hebden bridge uk in the 1980s."

Not at all Beryl, the hat came from a shop in Melton Mowbray for £6.00.

The blokes that got to the top of Everest? It's a stunning material and now we are getting back to woolly underwear vis a vis merino sold as the new best thing we have forgotten.....

I got a merino long-Sleeved vest recently. Reduced from £60 to £20. It's good, but not that good...
