HI, thanks very much, I have repaired rods one way or another over the past 60 years although "Heath Robinson" would have been my mentor, not pretty but it works.
I don't know if I can justify keeping and refurbing another rod, I suppose if can sell the idea as an heirloom for the boys, but I've used that one before so perhaps it will go the way of most of the bundle (ebay) as I got what I really wanted, the 1913 Hardy with bamboo tip holder, landing net and brass reels, sorry I'm bragging as once I've sold the unwanted gear the rod is basically free, and I will have no problem selling that idea, if I have to put it on Ebay the price will be so high nobody will buy it so I'll just have to keep it, its a hard life.
