Sensor is my line of choice, very cheap, very reliable.

I`m not enamoured with Drennan DS, and as Paul D I use Sensor, then if required a specialist hook link... For float fishing use Drennan Float...

Please try it by all means, but I can't say I am a great fan of the stuff to be honest.
I remember when it first came out !

I always use sensor myself but was just looking for an edge on those elusive big chub and thought a thinner diameter line might help.

A short length of braid seems better - certainly thin or even thinner strength for strength!

Used it for various things ever since it was introduced - the invisible line - and never liked it much.

Daiwa Sensor it my 'go to' nylon line. Hook lengths are different so I usually use hooks to nylon for lightweight lines, maggot fishing usually with small 16/18/ or even smaller if I can see them!

I used it years ago for barbel and lost a couple of very good fish when the line broke well below its strength.
I still haven't forgotten about it after 20 years, and to quote Beresford its " Dreadful stuff".
I wouldn't take the risk of using it now, especially with so many good lines around.

At the risk of sounding insensitive, I wouldn't trust it to hang up my Xmas cards. Sorry Mark!

Sensor is a very good back up line and great for piking, barbel etc. if I can't get my favourite. It's maxima all the way for me. If I want a thin diameter 4lb line, I'll use 3lb maxima...! I would trust that to pull my granny out the water.

Sorry Mark but Drennan Double Strength is absolute rubbish. Snaps randomly along its length. No just on the rod but when pulled by the hands. Surely 6 lb line should hurt if you try and break it by pulling with your hands. This stuff didn't. It took next to no force to break it. Dreadful stuff. I'd never go anywhere near it ever again.

I do really like drennan series 7 line though. That's fantastic stuff! I only wish they made bulk spools of it like the do with Sensor.

Well, by the sound of things chaps I will stick to my Sensor line.

On this subject of line ... does anyone here use a line by a manufacturer called Stroft ... its very thin and I quite like it
